Dr. Raksha Mudar is an associate professor in the department of speech and hearing science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Mudar is an ASHA certified speech-language pathologist. Her research examines: (i) how age and age-related conditions (e.g., mild cognitive impairment (MCI); Alzheimer’s disease dementia; age-associated hearing loss) impact higher-order cognitive functions, and (ii) the benefits of cognitive and social engagement interventions on brain health in older adults
