Dr. Neumann is an Associate Professor at Indiana University (IU) School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Research Director at the Rehabilitation Hospital of Indiana (RHI). She is also the Director of the IU Interactive and Functional Assessment of Communication and Emotion (InterFACE) Center at RHI. She has her PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the University at Buffalo, SUNY, and a Masters in Cognitive Psychology from Rutgers, NJ. Dr. Neumann’s research focuses on advancing the understanding and treatment of social cognition and emotion dysregulation deficits after traumatic brain injury (TBI). She serves on the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine (ACRM) Board of Governors, ACRM Brain Injury-Interdisciplinary Special Interest Group Executive Committee, and the Journal of Head Trauma Rehabilitation editorial review board. She was the recipient of the Deborah L. Wilkerson Early Career Award from ACRM in 2013, received recognition as an ACRM Fellow in 2017, and received the ACRM Mitchell Rosenthal Mid-Career Award in 2018.
