Dr. Matthieu Chardon received the B.S., M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University, Evanston, IL, USA under the guidance of Dr. William Rymer. He is currently a research scientist in the Department of Physiology at Northwestern University, Chicago, IL.
His interests range from the design and control of collaborative robots (cobots), neural control of movement, to medical and consumer product development. He is focused on estimating the properties of stroke induced spastic motoneurons, as well as the development of devices to
quantify spasticity.
