Gretchen R. Pfost, PT, DPT
Board Certified Specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy
Gretchen R. Pfost is the Co-Director of Clinical Education and an Associate Professor at Marshall University School of Physical Therapy where she has been a full-time faculty member for six years. Dr. Pfost obtained a master’s degree in physical therapy from West Virginia University in 1999 and a doctor of physical therapy degree from Chatham University in 2012. She is a board certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy since 2005. She holds a license to practice physical therapy in the state of West Virginia and maintains clinical practice with the majority of her clinical work in the area of inpatient neuro rehabilitation. On an outpatient basis, she provides adult and pediatric consultative rehabilitation services for the federally-funded Hemophilia Treatment Center in Charleston, WV. Her research interests at Marshall University include the scholarship of education including physical therapy clinical education and screening for behavioral health and substance use disorders in physical therapist practice and education.
Gretchen is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association Academies of Neurology and Education and a member of the West Virginia Physical Therapy Association.
