Dr. Kowalske is professor and former chair of physical medicine and rehabilitation at UT Southwestern in Dallas. She has 30 years of burn rehabilitation experience and more than 100 publications. She is a national expert in burn rehabilitation outcomes particularly as they relate to acute care complications. Dr. Kowalske is principle investigator of the North Texas Burn Rehabilitation Model System funded by the National Institute for Disability, Independent Living and Rehabiliation Research.
