Timothy F. Marshall earned his PhD in Health Science, specializing in Movement Science, from Seton Hall University. Tim also earned a Master’s of Science in Exercise Science degree from Kean University and is certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Cancer Exercise specialist.
Tim is an Assistant Professor in the School of Physical Therapy at Kean University and is the cardiovascular curriculum coordinator for the program. Tim’s research interests are grounded in reducing emotional, physical, and functional impairments from cancer. Tim’s overarching research goal is to advance cancer rehabilitation research and promote research collaboration in order to ultimately contribute to improved care and translate population-based research into patient-centered evidence-based interventions that are integrated into the continuum of care in order to prevent cancer-related disability and empower cancer survivors. Currently, Tim is conducting research aimed at understanding the impact the presence of chemotherapy-induced-peripheral-neuropathy has on gait, fall risk, and muscle activation by using wireless gait analysis and EMG technology.
