Briana Silvestri is a board-certified physician assistant at the Banner Sports Medicine and Concussion Specialists clinic in Phoenix, Arizona located on the campus of Banner University Medical Center. Briana graduated from Arizona State University in 2009 with a degree in Kinesiology and holds a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from A.T. Still University where she graduated in 2014. She has been working with the concussion center almost since its inception and has taken an active role in helping to develop and adapt the multidisciplinary model for concussion care. Ms. Silvestri has co-authored to publications examining the role of vestibular function and healthy athletes and an athlete to have sustained sports related head injuries. She works with a variety of community youth sports organization and high schools providing medical coverage for events, and frequently volunteering her time to provide educational lectures to the community to promote the timely injury identification, proper medical management, and safe return to play following sport related concussion. As a former collegiate athlete and current concussion and sports medicine specialist, Briana has a unique understanding of the importance of multidisciplinary care and supporting an athlete's recovery from injury as well as the health and well-being of the uninjured athlete.
