Julie Schwertfeger is an Assistant Professor in the DPT Program at RFUMS who serves as the APTA Section of Research Federal Affairs Liaison & Practice Chair, Academy of Neurologic PT (ANPT) Balance and Falls Special Interest Group Chair, ANPT Advocacy and Consumer Affairs Committee member and founding member of the Illinois PT Foundation Committeer. Her clinical and research focus is on the use of outcomes, and clients' sense of agency in their health to promote living well in the community for both caregivers and survivors.. She is most focused on populations of people who survived acquired brain injury and chronic pain. She completed the PhD in Interprofessional Health Studies in May 2020.
