Joseph Coulter spent more than 20 years as a Naval Flight Officer, retiring in 2000 as a Commander. He then worked as a Project Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC. In August 2010, Coulter suffered a massive traumatic brain injury (TBI) that resulted in the removal of part of his brain, causing extensive scarring. The effects of his injury have caused several changes in his life. Over the past ten years, Coulter has relearned how to walk, speak, and respond to his thoughts. As a survivor, he welcomes the opportunity to help other TBI survivors through their recovery; he relates to their struggles and frustrations.
