Dr. Daniel Santa Mina is an Assistant Professor at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education and the Faculty of Medicine in the Department of Surgery. Dr. Santa Mina is also a Clinician Investigator at Toronto General Research Institute. Dr. Santa Mina's research focuses on the physiological, functional, and psychosocial effects of exercise for cancer survivors, and in particular, the role of prehabilitation prior to various cancer treatments. Dr. Santa Mina completed his PhD in Kinesiology and Health Sciences at York University and a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Surgical Oncology (Division of Urology) at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He is also a Registered Kinesiologist (Ontario) and Certified Exercise Physiologist (CSEP) with advanced training in exercise in oncology.
