Christina Papadimitriou is Associate Professor at Oakland University, School of Health Sciences. Christina received her Ph.D. from Boston University, Department of Sociology (2000) and her post-doctoral training from Northwestern University, Institute of Healthcare Studies (2009) and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Center for Rehabilitation Outcomes Research (CROR). Christina is an active qualitative rehabilitation researcher who studies person-centeredness in rehabilitation and SCI, peer-health navigation for persons with physical disabilities, as well as peer mentoring and health disparities for persons with disabilities in the USA. Her work has been funded by NIDILRR. She has been methodological consultant in several SCI QUERI studies at the Hines Veteran Hospital. She is Senior Scholar at George Washington University in the Center for Healthcare Innovation and Policy Research. Christina is currently working with Dr. Trudy Mallinson (the George Washington University) and Dr. Theresa Pape (Hines, VA in IL and Northwestern University) on understanding change in persons with disorders of consciousness funded by AIR and JW grants. She is active in ACRM, and the co-chair of the task force on refugees with disabilities.
