Dr. Parva Namiranian is currently a Ph.D. candidate of Iranian Traditional Medicine in Tehran University of Medical Sciences. she received her M.D. (2012) from Tehran University of Medical Sciences. she is also a member of Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine (AIHM), International College of Integrative Medicine (ICIM) and Research Council for Complementary Medicine (RCCM).
She has made speeches and presentations in numerous national and international conferences of complementary and alternative medicine as well as history of medicine. Dr. Namiranian has published one book and various papers. She has published various translations from English to Persian in the field of alternative medicine in related journals. Also, she has translated reference books of modern medicine from English to Persian such as Aminoff's clinical neurology (2018), Harrison's Nephrology and Acid-Base Disorders (2018), and has taken part in translation of some other references such as Harrison's Infectious Diseases (2018), Molecular Cell Biology by Harvey Lodish (2016), etc. Her Ph.D. thesis is about a especial kind of Iranian deep tissue massage called Fateh Massage. Her research interests include medical history and culture of ancient Iran, manual therapy, Iranian massage, herbal medicine and natural products.
