Rafael Casas received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2010 and M.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 2012 from New Mexico State University. He is a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at The Catholic University of America and working as a research assistant for Applied Biomechanics and Rehabilitation Research (CABRR) at the National Rehabilitation Hospital. Before working on his PHD, he was awarded the Technical Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA) as part of a three-year fellowship in the Center for Infectious Disease Imaging (CIDI), a joint initiative between Radiology and Imaging Sciences at the NIH Clinical Center and the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID).
