Sangeeta Driver, MD, MPH has developed expertise at the intersection of clinical brain injury medicine and disability policy implementation. She completed her undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Chicago and spent one year of her training focusing on Health Economics and Social Policy at the London School of Economics. She later earned her MD at the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MPH in Health Care Management and Policy at the Harvard School of Public Health. She has served as a Congressional Health Fellow on Capitol Hill for Congressman Danny Davis and as a member of his Health Care Advisory Task Force in Chicago, was a Regional Co-Director for Doctors for America, a previous Albert Schweitzer Fellow, and a member of the American Medical Association Council on Legislation. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), where she served as chief resident. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Brain Injury Medicine and Rehabilitation at RIC. She is double-board certified in the areas of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Brain Injury Medicine. Dr. Driver currently serves as an Attending Physician in the Brain Innovation Center at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab (formerly known as the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). She holds an academic appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Through these roles, she is involved in the clinical care of individuals who have sustained traumatic brain injuries as well as the teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Driver devotes a portion of her time to work on policy, governmental affairs and management initiatives at the Shirley Ryan Abilitylab.
