Pui Yee graduated from The Victoria University of Manchester, United Kingdom with a BSc Hons in Physiotherapy. She has worked in the various fields of physiotherapy, from acute care of patients in intensive care units to the care of outpatients with musculoskeletal problems, in public and private institutions as well as in the community over 20 years. In 2000, Pui Yee obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Biomechanics from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom after completing a gait analysis study on the kinematics and kinetics of the lower limb joints while load carrying. She graduated with a Masters of Science in 2005 from the National University of Singapore, when she worked as a research assistant on a funded project on the effects of load carrying on the posture of normal and scoliotic adolescents. Pui Yee furthered her career as a lecturer with Republic Polytechnic, School of Health and Leisure, where she taught various modules such as Sports Biomechanics, Health Psychology, Exercise Programming and Prescription. She is currently a Research Associate with the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, where she is part of the team that is establishing an Asian-centric movement ability database. Her current interest is in translating the results of this normative database to clinical relevance.
