Ananda is currently a Research Fellow at the Rehabilitation Research Institute of Singapore (RRIS). He obtained his Bachelor and Master degree in Engineering, and has about 6 years of industrial experience in the test & measurement industry. After a brief exposure to a rehabilitation project during his Master years, he became interested in human movement and the brain. He then completed his PhD in Neuroscience from McGill University in Canada where he studied the mechanisms behind motor learning in humans. In his work, he combined behavioral techniques, functional neuroimaging, and non-invasive brain stimulation. Currently, he takes part in an effort to build an Asian-centric movement ability database.
