Tiago S. Jesus is post-doctoral scholar at the Global Health and Tropical Medicine & WHO Collaborating Centre for Health Workforce Policy and Planning, NOVA University, Lisbon as well as practicing Occupational Therapist in Portugal for 12 years. From April 2020, Dr Jesus will take a two-year, full-time, federally-funded post-doctoral fellowship in rehabilitation-related health services research, Northwestern University. Since January 2020, Dr Jesus is studying at the online, post-professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate, Boston University. After concluding his European PhD in Health Psychology (magnum cum laude), Dr Jesus has been producing independent research consistently published in top specialty journals: about 20 articles in 4 years, often as first, senior, or corresponding author. Overall, Dr Jesus’s research addresses rehabilitation-related, international health policy, systems, and service research, with an emphasis on workforce issues. His research also addresses quality-improvement, person-centered care, as well as knowledge translation and methods research, often as cross-crossing themes. Methodologically, Dr Jesus has been developing expertise in quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches, applied to knowledge syntheses, resources planning, and analyses of large databases. Dr Jesus is a frequent peer-reviewer in topnotch specialty journals, was named Elite Reviewer 2019 for the Arch Phys Med Rehabil, has been involved in writing editorials for rehabilitation journals, and has been Guest Editor for a special issue of the Int J Environ Res Public Health.
