Craig Zimring is the lead of the Built Environment Core of Cognitive Empowerment Program. The BE Core is devoted to leading development of the innovative physical environment of the Cognitive Empowerment Center and to researching how the built environment of community and home settings can help people with MCI be more independent and lead more joyful, purposeful lives. An environmental psychologist and professor of architecture, he is the director of the SimTigrate Design Lab at Georgia Tech that conducts research, design and policy development for healthcare designed settings that help improve the experience, safety and efficiency of healthcare.
