Y-Nhy Nguyen Duong received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Neurobiology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2010. She then worked at the University of California, San Francisco at the ALS Treatment and Research Center where she studied pseudo bulbar affect in the ALS patient population. In 2016, she worked in clinical operations at a health-tech company in San Francisco, Vida Health, where she co-designed a cognitive behavioral therapy program for telehealth. Currently, she is a PhD student in Cognitive and Neuroscience at University of Texas, Dallas, where she studies vagus nerve stimulation as a targeted plasticity therapy and its pairing with upper limb neurorehabilitation for enhanced recovery in brain injury participants.
