Laura Oldford, is a passionate Recreation Therapist, who works at the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation in Atlantic Canada. Laura works with paediatric and adult clients, who have tertiary neurological disabilities, on maximising their quality of life from a client centered care approach. Laura received her undergraduate degree in Recreation with honours in 2008 from Memorial University of Newfoundland and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS). She subsequently obtained her Masters degree in Integrated Studies from Athabasca University in 2012. She has become known for her work in using technology as an equalizer for her clients- affording them opportunities to use mainstream options through ingenuity and collaboration. Laura aims to always push at barriers, and educate others on her work to continue growth in her field.
