Heather Stewart earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2005 from The University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Health Related Professions. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology with a minor in French from Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana in 1998. Currently, Heather is a staff occupational therapist at Emory Rehabilitation Hospital in Atlanta, GA and works in Dr. Sarah Blanton's DISCOVER Lab as Project Coordinator for NIH-NINR funded study, Carepartner Collaborative Integrated Therapy in Sub-Acute Stroke R21NR018015 (CARE-CITE R21). As a project coordinator, Heather's primary roles include recruiting and screening eligible stroke survivors and their carepartners to participate in CARE-CITE, coordinating baseline and follow up evaluations with multiple team members, gathering data for all participants, and serving as a therapist liaison for dyads randomized to the control group.
