Theresa McLaughlin is a staff occupational therapist at Emory Rehabilitation Hospital and a Research Interventionist. She is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science (2008) as well as a graduate of The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences with a Master of Occupational Therapy (2014). She is certified through the American Brain Injury Association of America as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist. As a Research Interventionist for the NIH-NINR funded study, Carepartner Collaborative Integrated Therapy in Sub-Acute Stroke R21NR018015 (Sarah Blanton PI; CARE-CITE R21) study, she works in conjunction with dyads on education regarding autonomy support and collaborative problem solving, use of self-directed goal setting, and how to complete modified constraint induced movement therapy within the home and community.
