A.M. Barrett, MD is a cognitive neurologist and neurorehabilitationist leading the Neurorehabilitation Division, Emory Brain Health Center, and the Atlanta VA Center for Visual and Neurocognitive Rehabilitation, as its Executive Director. She is Chair of the Behavioral Neurology Section of the American Academy of Neurology, and President of the Society of Behavioral and Cognitive Neurology. Dr Barrett has been continuously funded since 1999 for projects clarifying brain-behavior relationships, and is an international leader investigating mechanisms and treatment of spatial cognitive deficits. She is passionate about improving knowledge, and evidence-based diagnosis and treatment of invisible disabilities after stroke, and using cognitive neuroscience to enhance day to day, feasible processes of care.
