Flora Nikolaou is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the University of Cyprus. She completed her master’s degree in Neuroscience with Distinction at the Cyprus School of Molecular Medicine of The Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology at University of Cyprus. Her research interests focus in the area of neurological disorders and ageing and has been involved in many studies of the Center of Applied Neuroscience at the University of Cyprus. She is working as a research assistant at the project SENSE-Cog: Promoting health for eyes, ears and mind led by the University of Manchester which is funded by the European Union’s Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, Horizon 2020. SENSE-Cog aims to investigate this combined impact on patients, and to develop new tools and at-home support that could improve quality of life and help optimize health and social care budgets and resource allocation across Europe.
