Elizabeth Corley, MA, retired in 2009 from a long career in public service in the area of health and human services statistics and research. Her career focused on development of databases and their use in policy-relevant evaluation and research, both public and private sectors. A key accomplishment of her career was as co-architect of the S.C. Health and Human Services Data Warehouse, an integrated data system that permits the linkage of detailed clinical and administrative data across public and private data systems at the de-identified client level. Since retirement she has offered consultant services utilizing the knowledge and experience gained during her career. In 2014 she joined the research team at the Core for Applied Research & Evaluation, UofSC Arnold School of Public Health, supporting spinal cord injury research. Her primary focus has been design of detailed analyses using the linkage of data from survey participants to health care utilization data in the S.C. Health and Human Services Data Warehouse. The collaboration has resulted in three recent peer reviewed publications based on the linked data.
