Nicole DiPiro, PhD is an Exercise Physiologist and Rehabilitation Researcher. She currently holds the title of Research Associate in the College of Health Professions at The Medical University of South Carolina. Her research has focused on identifying and mitigating the negative consequences of the impairments, limitations, and restrictions that are present following spinal cord injury (SCI). Current research focus includes identifying risk and protective factors for health outcomes and mortality after SCI. She has conducted interventional research centered on applying the principles of exercise physiology and exercise training to improve both functional (ambulatory) and health-related outcomes, as well as quality of life after SCI.
