Susan M. Mingils, MT-BC is a board-certified music therapist with clinical experience in inpatient rehabilitation, pediatric outpatient rehabilitation, assisted living/memory care, mental health, and special education settings. She completed her undergraduate degrees in music and psychology from Stetson University in 2013 and a Master’s of Music in music therapy degree from Florida State University in 2015. She is currently enrolled in the Occupation and Rehabilitation Science Ph.D. program at Colorado State University in the Occupational Therapy Department under the co-mentorship of Jaclyn Stephens, Ph.D., OTR/L and Dr. Patricia Davies, Ph.D., OTR/L. Susan's research interests include the use of music to improve neural processing and functional skills for individuals with traumatic brain injury, and the implications for evidence-based music therapy practice.
