Marissa Jaross serves as a research analyst for the Polytrauma System of Care at the VA Palo Alto Healthcare System. Her primary roles are as the data manager for the VA Traumatic Brain Injury Model System and as analyst and researcher for the Polytrauma System of Care. Ms. Jaross received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado at Boulder in Anthropology and a Master of Public Health in Global Health Communication from The George Washington University. She has previously worked in community research and evaluation in the areas of youth and adult homelessness, substance use, food insecurity, social justice and equity, and access to healthcare. Ms. Jaross’s current research focus is how traumatic brain injury affects various veteran populations. Additionally, she enjoys volunteering at the Stanford Educational Farm and preparing meals for the elderly and infirm through Jewish Children and Family Service of the Peninsula.
