Francine Pierson is ASHA's Public Relations Manager. Her primary work is on ASHA's public education and outreach campaigns/ programs. These include ASHA's Identify the Signs campaign, focused on early identification of speech, language and hearing disorders; the Healthy Communication & Popular Technology Initiative, focused on promoting balanced and healthy use of popular technology; and Better Hearing & Speech Month, an annual observance intended to raise awareness of communication disorders among the general public and allied professionals.
