Nicole Briceno is a laboratory technician in the Neuro-Oncology branch at the National Institutes of Health. She attened University of Maryland for her Master's where she worked to devleop genetically modified mouse models of prostate cancer. Currently, her focus is on the molecular characterization of rare central nervous system tumors through next-generation sequencing and methylome analysis. The data from these assays are used along with the clinical information to determine if there are differences in tumors within a diagnosis. This will allow for improved and precise treatment.
