David McCall, MD, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Chief Fellow at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center
My particular focus of research is Ewing sarcoma as it relates to heterogeneity and resistance to targeted therapy. My research exposure has been clinical and laboratory-based. During medical school, residency and fellowship I have been able to work on clinical and basic science research projects that have focused on brain tumors, cellular therapy, sickle cell and chemotherapy toxicities. Currently, under the guidance of Joseph Ludwig (Associate Professor) at MD Anderson, I am in the lab working on Ewing sarcoma heterogeneity, analyzing patterns of resistance in the setting of targeted-fusion protein therapy through epigenetics and proteomics.
