As a consumer insights specialist, Dr. Kerry O’Hara has a remarkable combination of expertise and education, and she is truly passionate about her chosen field – Business Research, Data Analytics, and Strategy Development. Dr. O’Hara has a dual doctorate in Industrial-Organizational and Clinical Psychology and has developed the keen ability to understand the complexities of organizational landscapes to conceptualize and effectively design answer-oriented projects aimed at driving strategic thought and decision-making. She has over 20 years of applied B2B, B2C, and B2B2C research and data experience, and has worked both on the client and consulting side with such diverse companies as Nationwide, HP, The Walt Disney Company, Microsoft, HealthCare Partners, The Getty Museum, the County of San Diego, and Neiman Marcus. Three of these organizations are in Interbrand’s 2018 Top-50 Best Global Brands(*), so she understands how complex domestic and international landscapes are to the effective differentiation and success of a brand. Dr. O’Hara has been adjunct faculty at many universities, including UCSD, SDSU, Chapman College, National University, and Alliant International University. Building the minds and capabilities of others is a key personal driver, especially in the areas of Statistics and Psychology. She also has a career invested in building brands, building the emotional connections of customers and gatekeepers to these brands, and leading data-driven departments to ensure decisions are made from a complete fact base. One key reason for her personal successful in these roles is her ever-present desire to build the bridge between brands and their customers or gatekeepers.
