WVC 91st Annual Conference
This presentation will review the “Big Five” personality results from the Merck Animal Health Wellbeing Study. The Big Five is a long-standing and widely used assessment tool for exploring personality style. The Merck Animal Health results reflect the first time that personality styles have been drawn from a representative sample of DVMs. This increases confidence that these results more reliably represent the veterinary profession as a whole. In addition to describing what the Big Five personality factors actually are, the presentation will also cover the similarities and differences in personality style between DVMs, the general population, and other health professionals found in the research literature. Lastly, tips and suggestions for getting the most from your personality style will be offered. Attendees are invited to complete a free, anonymous, Big Five personality assessment to obtain personal results before the workshop if desired which can be found at www.vetwellbeing.com. This, however, is not required to benefit from the workshop’s content.
