WVC 91st Annual Conference
This lab will initiate with a very brief lecture reviewing extraction techniques. We will initiate with a discussion of single rooted extractions and then progress to sectioning multirooted teeth. Following this, we will cover maxillary canine and fourth premolar as well as mandibular first molar extractions. Time permitting we will cover mandibular canine extractions. This section is a continuation of the basic extractions lecture. Proper flap creation for the various teeth, alveolar bone removal, sectioning (if necessary), and closure (emphasizing tension release) will be covered. This section will also feature crown amputation indication and techniques. Finally, how to effectively deal with ankylosed teeth and retained root tips will be discussed. There is something for everyone in this lab, from new grads to seasoned practitioners. 4 CE Hours. Purchase required.
