This session uses short clinical case vignettes, with accompanying thoracic radiographs, to consider the imaging findings, differential diagnosis, and most likely cause of respiratory signs. Examples of dogs and cats with noncardiac causes of cough and respiratory distress are emphasized.

• Outline a systematic approach to thoracic radiographic differential diagnosis
• Draw examples of the most common radiographic patterns showing both intra-pulmonary and pleural diseases
• Formulate differential diagnoses based on radiographic patterns in dogs and cats
