Location: Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Great Hall
CME credit: 0.25

Session Type: Plenary

Topic(s): Advocacy

As described in the 2016 AAP policy Poverty and Child Health, child poverty is prevalent and pervasive in the US. Given the long-term harm to children from poverty, Congress funded the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine to conduct a comprehensive study and to propose recommendations to cut poverty among US children in half in 10 years. This plenary session will review the report and its recommendations.
