S2171 CANCEL/RESCHEDULE: Hemoglobinopathies: Recognition, Reassurance, Referral

Saturday, October 26
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
Location: Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, 353-355

Session Type: Seminar

Topic(s): Hematology & Oncology

US immigration patterns have resulted in a greater prevalence of heterozygous and homozygous, quantitative and qualitative hemoglobinopathies (eg, Hb H, Hb E, beta thalassemia intermedia). Concurrent iron deficiency may confuse the diagnosis. Attendees will learn how to recognize hemoglobinopathies, when to provide reassurance, and when to refer to a hematologist.

This session has been cancelled and rescheduled for Monday, 10/28, 9:30am - 10:15am. Please see session F4086.
