P3114 That Medication Costs How Much? Ethical and Practice Implications of High Drug Costs

Sunday, October 27
11:50 AM - 12:10 PM
Location: Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, Great Hall
CME credit: 0.25

Session Type: Plenary

Topic(s): Bioethics

High drug costs create issues related to access and justice for pediatric patients. Advances in biotechnology make it likely that high drug costs will increasingly impact the ability to provide the “best” care for children. Faculty will discuss the ethical tension created when patients may benefit from an expensive medication but at great cost to society.
