Algorithms for management of neonatal early-onset sepsis result in medical intervention for large numbers of uninfected infants. Faculty will discuss a novel predictive model to estimate risk of early-onset sepsis and safely decrease the proportion of newborns evaluated by blood culture and empirically treated with antibiotics.
