Topic(s): Urology

The finding of hydronephrosis on prenatal screening can cause significant anxiety for expectant parents, and radiographic evaluation of the newborn often falls on the pediatrician. Faculty will review the natural history of prenatally diagnosed hydronephrosis and associated pathologic conditions. A multidisciplinary consensus statement on prenatal urinary tract dilation will be discussed as it relates to prophylactic antibiotic use and radiographic studies.
