Faculty will review changes to the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding. Rationale for the changes will be discussed, including the importance of including preterm and newborns with low birthweight, adherence to the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes, internal monitoring, incorporation of on-demand feeding into guidance, and eliminating the prohibition on the use of bottles, pacifiers, and nipples.
