Faculty will review typical adolescent behavioral challenges and how to provide anticipatory guidance to parents in managing these challenges. Faculty also will discuss how to identify behavioral disorders (attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, substance use, anxiety, depression) and how to distinguish problems that primary care providers can manage from those that require referral to mental health professionals.
