Topic(s): Child Abuse & Neglect

Bone tired and soul weary is how many pediatricians describe themselves. While the literature has chronicled increasing prevalence and symptoms of burnout and secondary traumatic stress, there is limited understanding of why or how burnout occurs. Now, neuroscience has begun to shed light on the issue. Faculty will explore the history, science, stories, and solutions for burnout and secondary traumatic stress.
