Faculty will discuss background data and recommendations in the AAP clinical practice guideline on maintenance intravenous fluids in children, particularly the amount of water, sodium, and potassium to give in typical situations. Case vignettes will be used to highlight common situations, and exceptions to the guideline will be discussed.
