The number of children entering foster care is rising, due in part to the opioid epidemic. This program will educate attendees on the impact of maltreatment and neglect on development and behavior. The influence of adversity on molecular structure and function will be explored. Innovative strategies for parenting children exposed to toxic stress will be discussed.
