Abdominal pain is common in children and adolescents, and is associated with missed school days, depression and anxiety. Great progress has been made in understanding the pathophysiology of pain predominant childhood functional gastrointestinal disorders. This case-based session will provide an overview of the pathophysiology and management of functional abdominal pain in children.
