This interactive session will teach how to assess proper positioning, latch-on, and milk transfer. Breastfeeding mothers will demonstrate techniques with their babies and discuss how pediatric providers can support breastfeeding. Indications for use of breast pumps and ancillary feeding devices will be reviewed, and products will be demonstrated. Incorporating breastfeeding anticipatory guidance into pediatric practice will be emphasized as well as review of reimbursement for breastfeeding support services.
