This session will begin with a brief overview of recent data on the association between general anesthetic agents and neurotoxicity in infants and children. The data then will be related to morbidity and mortality data for infants and children in the perioperative period and the effects of delaying surgical procedures. Lastly, questions commonly asked by parents will be answered.
