At age 16, Nadya Okamoto founded the nonprofit organization PERIOD to make menstrual care a basic right. Since 2014, PERIOD has been working to end period poverty and the period stigma. Okamoto is a junior at Harvard College, has run for office, written a book, and is Chief Brand Officer of JUV Consulting, a Generation Z marketing agency.
