Megan Skeffington

Animal Care Hospital

Dr. Megan Skeffington began her veterinary career at the age of 11 riding along on farm calls for a mixed animal practice in DeWitt, IA where she was born and raised. Dr. Skeffington attended Iowa State University, majored in Animal Science and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. She worked as a small animal associate veterinarian in Brookfield, WI before moving with her husband to Upstate New York where she was a Chief of Staff for corporate practice. During this time she was an integral part of a new graduate training program and mentored numerous technician, externs and new graduates through the transition into general practice. In 2016, she returned to private practice at Animal Care Hospital of Clifton Park, NY. She loves all aspects of veterinary medicine and has a special interest in soft tissue surgery, client communications and endocrinology. Dr. Skeffington is very passionate about the human-animal bond and helping make sure pets are healthy, happy members of the family for as long as possible.
